Covid-19 anti-boredom challenge solution
Yep! It can be done. Lay one of the nails on a flat surface (like a table) and then lay 12 of the nails at 90 degrees to, and on either side of the first nail alternating to the left and right as you go. Just ensure the underside of the nail heads are touching the shaft of the first nail. Now take the 14th nail and lay it on top of the 12 alternately spaced nails but with its head at the opposite end to the head of the initial nail.
You should now be able to squeeze the bottom and top nails (numbers 1 and 14 from the description above) ensuring the other 12 nails are held between them and careful place the whole assembly on the head of the nail in the block of wood!
Ta daa!! There. You have balanced 14 nails on the head of one other nail! Well done.
Now wipe the whole lot down with a disinfectant wipe and pass it on to a friend. Give them the challenge to relieve their isolation boredom - and don't forget to also provide the link to this website and the solution ... to ease their frustration.
